Actor Gulshan Grover says that when he started out in Bollywood, he said yes to some projects just to maintain good relations with people who offered him those films.
“95 percent films I did initially in my career were just because somebody requested me to do them. There were times when I was doing films only for money. It took me many years to understand that I have arrived and I am not going back to Delhi from Mumbai. I did films either because the director was too big or he might get upset. At times, it was because the hero was big, the set was big or I was getting a particular amount of money. I did films for these reasons,” says Grover, who started his career with the film Rocky (1976).
“I never had any kind of fear. I just have a driving force because there are so many tremendous roles that I would like to portray. Fear comes from the lack of talent and the inability to work hard. I never allowed negativity to creep into my life,” he adds.
