Impressed by the string of trailers and teasers around Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra's film Brothers, scheduled to hit the screens on August 14? If you thought this film on sibling rivalry looks classy, here's one more reason to be impressed with it: Director Karan Malhotra's Brothers is the official remake of 2011 film Warrior.

Directed by Gavin O’Connor, Warrior starred Joel Edgerton, Tom Hardy and Nick Nolte in lead roles. The film was about two brothers who blamed their father for the troubles in their life and rued the fact that he discriminated between them.

The elder brother, played by Edgerton, is struggling to pay back his home loan while the younger one, played by Tom Hardy, is going through a moment of mental crisis as he holds himself responsible for a mishap during his stint with Navy.

Circumstances bring them at the World MMA (Mixed Martial Arts Championship) where they fight against tough fighters. Soon, they find themselves in a tricky situation when they’re expected to fight each other.

Though Warrior looks like an actioner from the outset, it’s actually an emotional roller-coaster. What Tom Hardy did in the original will be hard to match for Sidharth Malhotra.
