Did you just say Bollywood’s struggling with a serious bout of creative bankruptcy? For all of you who say it’s a harsh statement, just take a look at the latest song from Shah Rukh Khan’s forthcoming film, Dilwale.
Released on Thursday evening, the song -- Manma emotion jaage -- from this Rohit Shetty-directed film has nothing but an overdose of what all Shetty films have dished out in the past: flying cars, skimpily-clad women doing belly dance, and men showing off their acrobatic skills for no particular reason or purpose.
At best, the song is a sad but glamourised version of another song from yet another Rohit Shetty film: Aa lag jaa gale se tha kar ke’ from Golmaal Returns. Just change Ajay Devgn and Co in that song with Rohit Dhawan and Kriti Sannon in this one and you won’t be able to make out the difference.
Watch: Tha kar ke from Golmaal Returns
Choreographed by Remo D’Souza, Manma Emotion Jaage tries its best to be a funky number, but it falls flat on its face right from the word go.
Dilwale, which is scheduled to hit the screens on December 18, marks the return of SRK-Kajol pair after a gap of five years.
