The war of words between actor Imran Khan and filmmaker Rahul Rawail seems to have escalated after the director called the actor a mentally challenged person.

A report published in Mumbai Mirror quoted Imran as saying, “Is he still around?” when he was asked about his relationship with Rawail. The director’s tweet was in response to the comment.

Apparently, Imran is unhappy with Rawail because of his role in creating a rift between Imran and Ranbir Kapoor. It was rumoured that Imran’s wife Avantika had criticised Ranbir’s film Raajneeti.

Rahul Rawail was among the top film directors of Bollywood in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s. His filmography boasts of films like Betaab, Arjun, Dacait, Bekhudi and Anjaam. He also launched Kumar Gaurav and Vijayta Pandit in 1991 film Love Story.

However, going by the response of Rawail on Khan’s comment, this war doesn’t seem to lose out its steam in coming days.
