Vidya Balan and Naseeruddin Shah starrer
is running late. Milan Luthria’s film was supposed to hit the floors on May 20. But now, it has been delayed by about 10 days to May 30.
“There has been a delay because some of Vidya and Naseer
’s look tests and costumes still need to be fixed. We don’t want to rush into things,” says Luthria.
According to the
Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai
(2010) director, Naseeruddin too, has been busy. “He has been busy with his two back-to-back plays —
Arms And The Man
. But once he is back, we intend to finish his remaining look tests and costumes within a week,” he says. Luthria also plans to specially work with Emraan Hashmi for his character, as soon as the actor returns.
“He is busy with another film of his in Latur. Once he is back in the first week of June, I might take a break and help him get into character,” he says.
Ask Luthria if Vidya is going to use butt pads, as reported by a tabloid, and he shoots back: “It’s not right to discuss a woman’s anatomy like this. We are doing whatever needs to be done to make Vidya look the part. But one shouldn’t break it up into different parts of the body. Please maintain a woman’s dignity.” The film is apparently inspired by bold Southern actors Silk Smitha and Disco Shanti.
