With early reports suggesting that Sultan may have crossed Rs 40 crore at the ticket windows on the opening day, Salman Khan must be celebrating Eid with added festivities.
Salman plays Sultan Ali Khan in the film, a Haryanvi wrestler who has quit wrestling but certain turn of events make him work hard to get back in the ring. While the 50-year-old actor has clearly worked hard on his physique, we feel he could have learnt a little Haryanvi before venturing into the shoot.

More often than not, Bollywood stars tend to miss the accent when playing people from different regions. We take a look at five actors who aced the accent they had onscreen.
1. Kangana Ranaut
Kangana Ranaut’s double role in Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015) was a winner both for the critics and audiences alike. Her performance not only earned big moolahs at the ticket windows, it also got her the National Award for Best Actress this year. Her Haryanavi character Datto, is still a big rage for the absolute transformation Kangana was able to effect in the role.
2. Ranveer Singh
Ranveer Singh played a maratha warrior in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic love saga Bajirao Mastani (2015) and his accent won him accolades from all over. Ranveer also bagged his second Filmfare award (Best Actor) for the performance.
3. Amitabh Bachchan
Amitabh is one actor who leaves no stone unturned to get into his characters. Be it a Bengali old man for TE3N (2016) or the marathi don for Sarkar (2005), he pulls them all wonderfully.
4. Vidya Balan
Vidya Balan impressed one and all with her Bengali accent and powerful acting in Sujoy Ghosh’s Kahaani (2012).
5. Randeep Hooda
The Aishwarya Rai-starrer may not have fared well at the box office but Randeep won hearts with his performance as Sarabjit Singh. He played a Punjabi farmer who accidentally ends up in Pakistan and eventually languished in Pakistani jail before his death in an attack inside the prison.
