After three back-to-back big-screen outings in 2014, Alia Bhatt’s next will release over a year after her last film. And the actor is happy about maintaining this gap. “Last year, three of my films released within six months of each other, but I didn’t plan for that to happen. I would have liked the releases to be a little more spaced out, but these are things you can’t plan,” says the actor.

Alia adds that after some time in the industry, one learns to manage their dates and plan their projects in a way that they have two-three releases in a year. “The planning hasn’t happened yet. I am just going with the flow. But from now on, I want to make sure that I have enough releases in a year, but also not too many, because you don’t want to become too exhausting for the audience,” she explains.

Currently working on Abhishek Chaubey’s film that co-stars Shahid Kapoor, the actor says her role is very different from her real-life persona. She also clarifies that despite being constantly asked about working with father Mahesh Bhatt’s production company, there are no plans yet. “This year is kind of blocked for me already. Nothing has come up as yet. When something does, I will let everyone know,” says Alia.
