Word of mouth publicity seems to be working for Ayushmann Khurrana's Dum Laga Ke Haisha. After a sluggish opening weekend, this Sharad Katariya-directed film is making all the right noises at the box office, collecting Rs 6.08 crore in the first three days of its release.
Trade analysts Taran Adarsh tweeted about it.
The film is about a middle class family in Haridwar which is struggling with a severe resource crunch. To tide over the problems, the son (Khurrana) is forced to marry a girl he didn't approve of. The unhappy marriage leads to a number of skirmishes between the couple, leading to the film's climax.
The film didn’t have a long promotional drive and thus its performance is totally dependent on the positive reviews and a good buzz. With no other big films releasing alongside it, Dum Laga Ke Haisha is only going to rake in more moolah at the ticket window.
