Ram Gopal Varma, once a renowned filmmaker but now better known for his Twitter fights, is at it again - this time he has miffed fans of none other than superstar Rajinikanth!

Hours after releasing the first trailer of his much-awaited film Verappan, the director tweetd a picture of Amy Jackson with the Tamil star and wrote, “This man by being the biggest star ever completely destroys the notion of looks being important for stardom. He is a bad looker, doesn’t have six packs, short with a disproportionate body and knows just two and a half dance movements.”

The comments sent Rajini fans into a rage and they started asking Ram Gopal Varma to see his ‘face in the mirror before talking about Rajini sir’ and some more mean things.

“Nowhere in world a man who looks like this can be SuperStar. I wonder what he did to God that God did this to him. Rajni sir is ultimate proof that no one can ever fu***** know why the audience likes what in cinema? The greatest psychiatrists in the world will collapse with the challenging task of explaining the Rajni Phenomenon,” RGV further wrote on his Twitter account.

Reacting to the backlash, the filmmaker later tweeted that the online world could not understand his compliments to the Tamil star.

“Some superdumb fans of Rajnikant dint even realise that I was only complimenting the superstar. Dumb fans of Rajni who dint realise my tweets r compliment shud realise Rajni himself makes fun of himself. All u dumb Rajni fans who are abusing me shud realise that I saw Rajni sirs flop films many more times than even my own hit films,” the filmmaker wrote.

He further tweeted, “The way they are misunderstanding my tweets,Rajni Sir’s fans seem to be more dumber than Power Star’s fans..Jai Rajni and Jai Power Star.”

He even replied to Kamaal Rashid Khan saying, “Am thrilled that @kamaalrkhan thinks I look more handsome than Rajni sir but Mr Kamaal should know the reality of the Great Rajni.”

RGV also had a piece of gyan for scholars of human psychology:

“I think people who follow on Twitter more people than who follow them can be defined as lazy bums with nothing better to do. I noticed that people with the least followers tend to be the most obscene and viscious, thus exhibiting an anti social personality trait. If some people who don’t even have 40 followers are following some 400 people it shows they are interested only in other people’s lives,” he tweeted.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time RGV faced the wrath of an army of celeb fans. Earlier this month, RGV had tweeted about Pawan Kalyan and later called it a ‘misunderstanding’ after fans lashed out at him.
