Dutt’s the way to do it

The introduction scene of Sanjay Dutt’s nephew, Nilesh Sahay, in the film Angel will remind you of the introduction sequence of Sanju’s debut film Rocky.

The introduction scene of Sanjay Dutt’s nephew, Nilesh Sahay, in the film Angel will remind you of the introduction sequence of Sanju’s debut film Rocky. Like Mama, the nephew also has his introduction song on bike with his friends, like the song Rocky Mera Naam in Rocky. Not only this, the two of them even have similar physical appearance with long hair and well built body.

“Yes, the song, Tell me why, is similar to Rocky Mera Naam. But it is just a coincidence,” says director Ganesh Acharya. Like Sanju’s character in Rocky, Nilesh’s character Abhay, is a boy next door with no flashy cars. “Yet the two characters are very different. People will almost get irritated by Nilesh’s character in the first half due to his brash behaviour but they will develop a liking towards his character later in the film,” adds Acharya.

“About introducing Nilesh with his film, Acharya says, “I remember the first thing that I noticed, when I met Nilesh, was that he was speaking a lot with everybody around. I realised I had found my Abhay in him.”

Angel is a story of two people, a girl who can’t speak and a boy who speaks a lot — in what circumstances they meet and become friends. “I’m sure both Nilesh and Maddalsa are perfect for their characters in the film,” says Acharya.
