Ek Villain earns Rs 77 crore, second highest week one collections

Siddharth Malhotra-Shradha Kapoor-Riteish Deshmukh-starrer Ek Villain continues to earn moolah at the box office even as it completes a week at theatres across the country. It has already earned Rs 77 crore and is second to only Jai Ho in terms of collections.

After becoming the second biggest opener of the year with Rs 12 crore in Friday collections, Mohit Suri's romantic thriller earned Rs 50.7 crore during its first weekend. Ek Villain has now collected Rs 77.2 crore in the first week of its release - the second highest week one collection in 2014.

Ek Villain earned Rs 8.1 crore on Monday, Rs 6.8 crore on Tuesday, Rs 6.4 crore on Wednesday and Rs 5.2 crore on Thursday.

Salman Khan-starrer Jai Ho earned Rs 88 crore in its first week and is still the highest grosser of 2014.
