“The idea is to create awareness sufficiently in advance,” says Tanuj Garg, CEO of Balaji Motion Pictures, the producers of both films. “It will help us embed KSKHH in people’s memory in a big way.” He also maintains that since both films come from same production house, it “makes sense to attach the one-minute promo and start the build-up for our next film.”

Explaining that for TDP also, promotions began six months ago, he adds, “It’s an announcement promo, using footage we shot in these 15 days. And people must look out for it because it’s a very unique one. The results will be available for all to see, so it makes sense to create excitement in advance.”

KSKHH is a sequel to 2005 hit, Kya Kool Hai Hum (KKHH). It sees Riteish Deshmukh and Tusshar Kapoor reprising their roles, while new additions are Neha Sharma and Sarah Jane Dias. “Our announcement promo will help us create the right noise because KKHH is already a brand. It will inform the audiences about what to expect from us next time,” says Tanuj.
