He has been part of back-to-back hits like Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai (2010), Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji, Murder 2 and The Dirty Picture. As a result, Emraan Hashmi hasn’t taken a break for almost two years now.But finally, the actor has taken some time off, and is currently on vacation in Goa with his family. Immediately after the completion of The Dirty Picture, Emraan was whisked away to Delhi for the shoot of Jannat 2.
“Due to that gruelling shooting schedule, he couldn’t make it to The Dirty Picture's success party in Mumbai. But now, he has taken a much-needed vacation to his second home, Goa, for Christmas and New Year’s. In fact, he is taking a break after two years. He hasn’t spent time with his family and son in a while,” says a member of Emraan’s entourage.
When contacted, Emraan confirms “Yes, I have had been shooting since January for films, including Dibakar Banerjee’s Shanghai. So, I haven’t had a breather to disconnect from films. I couldn’t even make it for the The Dirty Picture success party because I was busy with the last schedule of Jannat 2. But better late then never. I have finally taken off to my favourite destination, Goa.”
For the uninitiated, Emraan has bought himself a four-storey, fully furnished penthouse in the beach city. The house has of a gym, swimming pool and private garden. Besides Shanghai, the actor’s forthcoming films include Raj Kumar Gupta’s Ghanchakkar, Vishesh Film’s Jannat 2 and the Raaz sequel in 3D.
Emraan, interestingly, has turned down an offer from Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt to act in the Jism sequel. He is also likely to team up with his The Dirty Picture co-star Vidya Balan in an Ekta Kapoor film.
