The three Khans — Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman — are known for having a say in various aspects of their films. Now, Emraan Hashmi seems to be taking a similar route.

Quite a few of the actor’s previous films have had Sufi songs, and most of them went on to become major hits. So, it seems, Emraan insisted on having one in his upcoming film, Ghanchakkar, too.

Though produced at a short notice, Emraan found the song Allah Meherbaan catchy. “I think we have a fantastic song. Raj (Kumar Gupta, director) and I discussed doing a video because the song is truly different. I think the audiences and my fans will love it. (Composer) Amit Trivedi has created a very different number. I had great fun shooting for it as well,” says Emraan.

An insider reveals that the film was almost complete, so the song for which the actor shot recently, was a new addition. “Emraan was on vacation with his family. However, once the makers had the song ready, he cut his holiday short to shoot for it,” says the source close to the development of the film.
