The actor will play an investigative journalist in Rush

The film, Rush, which is scheduled to release on Bakra-Eid, i.e. October 26 this year, will see actor Emraan Hashmi play a morally correct investigative journalist with a top news channel, who plunges into a vortex of violence in a deadly game of cat and mouse engineered by those he has trusted.

Talking about Hashmi’s character in Rush, Priyanka Thakran, the film’s creative director, says, “Sam (played by Emraan) is morally strong, with no grey shades, always ready to take a stand. He’s someone people look up to.” As for the music of Rush, it has been composed by Pritam, and has a combination of romantic and club tracks.

This film, which will be Hashmi’s next after Raaz 3 in September, is being directed by Shamin Desai. Along with Hashmi, it also stars actors Neha Dhupia and Sagarika Ghatge, with actor Aditya Pancholi returning to the big screen after a hiatus in a negative role.
