Emraan and Jacqueline share great onscreen chemistry in the thriller.

His last four films — Crook (2010), Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji (2011), Murder 2 (2011) and The Dirty Picture (2011) — got ‘adult’ certificates from the Censor Board of Film Certification. And though Emraan Hashmi insists he doesn’t do films keeping their certification in mind, he wants the board to come up with a more elaborate rating system.

“I feel our Censor Board needs to make something like what exists abroad. For example, their films are divided into many more categories. They have PG 13 (parental guidance), 15 and above PG and so on,” he says, adding, “But in India, we have kept it restricted to U, U/A and A. I want the system to be wider.”

However, Emraan, who has been anointed the ‘serial kisser’ of Bollywood, doesn’t deny the fact that his films are meant for older audiences. “I would love to do a comedy or rom-com meant for a universal audience, but I have to wait for the right script. There has to be something special. I won’t do films just for the sake of doing them,” says Emraan, whose next line-up of films includes Dibakar Banerjee’s Shanghai, the Bhatts’ Jannat 2 and Raaz sequel in 3D, followed by Raj Kumar Gupta’s Ghanchakkar.

He is also likely to team up with his The Dirty Picture co-star Vidya Balan in an Ekta Kapoor film. Currently, Emraan, who hasn’t taken a break from shooting for almost two years, is on vacation in Goa with his family. Immediately after the completion of The Dirty Picture, the actor was whisked away to Delhi to shoot for Jannat 2.
