Farhan Akhtar has so far performed at 59 concerts, and will present an act at his 60th concert in Mumbai, today (September 17).

Besides being a successful Bollywood actor and a filmmaker, Farhan Akhtar has also established himself as a popular singer. He has been regularly performing at concerts with his band. Now, Farhan, who has so far performed at 59 concerts, will present an act at his 60th concert in Mumbai, today (September 17).

In the past three years, Farhan has performed live with his band in several cities such as Delhi, Chennai, Guwahati, Kolkata, Bangalore and Allahabad, and also in Singapore and Dubai. But today’s concert is a special one for the actor.

It has been organised to celebrate the 15th anniversary of his production house with Ritesh Sidhwani. It will feature several songs from the films — including Dil Chahta Hai (2001) and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011) — that the company has produced over the years. The cast of his upcoming film, which is a sequel to Rock On!! (2008), will also attend the concert.

Farhan is “really looking forward” to the Mumbai gig. He says, “When I look back, it feels amazing to see where the band is today. It has been such a wonderful journey so far, and we have received so much love from people across the globe. We are even more pumped for our performances, and spreading the message against rape and discrimination, going forward.”
