After the success of Fukrey, producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani seem kicked about making more films with newcomers.

Starring four young actors — Ali Fazal, Manjot Singh, Varun Sharma and Pulkit Samrat — Mrigdeep Singh Lamba’s debut directorial venture was made on a relatively tight budget.

Post release, the movie received encouraging reviews and fared well at the box office. Now, Farhan and Ritesh are on the lookout for a script for their next
project, which stars a young actor.

An insider from the production house has revealed that this film will feature Pulkit in the lead role. “The team has been put in charge of reading scripts that are coming in from across the country. The producers want to make a film with a newcomer in the lead,” says the insider.

While Farhan and Ritesh remained unavailable for comments, their spokesperson confirms this development, saying, “They are going through various scripts and are looking to finalise something for Pulkit soon.”
