Fever: Switzerland can also be dark, sinister, says Rajeev Khandelwal
Switzerland may be known for its unparalleled beauty, but actor Rajeev Khandelwal says it can also be ‘dark and sinister’.bollywood Updated: Aug 03, 2016 13:20 IST
At an interactive session ahead of the release of his latest film, Fever which is a thriller shot extensively in Switzerland, Khandelwal said, “So far, we have seen Switzerland as a beautiful place, but there’s another side to it which is dark, sinister and lonely. You’ll find cars, buildings, but you won’t find people. It suited our requirements perfectly.”
Khandelwal who shared the interactive session with Gauhar Khan who plays a prominent role in the film, also spoke about his choice of films.
“I am not a very intelligent guy. I work on instincts, and that’s why I want to do films that can break new grounds,” he said.
On being asked about a memorable scene from Fever, Khandelwal said, “There’s a scene in the film where Gauhar comes out of the pool in a bikini, but nobody knows what happened before and after that scene. She was supposed to save me from drowning in that scene, but in reality she doesn’t know how to swim. A non-swimmer was trying to save a swimmer!”
“I am sure Rajeev was scared for his life in that scene,” quipped Khan.
Khandelwal was already a big star on TV before he made his debut in films with ‘Aamir’ in 2008 which established him as an able actor. He has subsequently acted in film like Shaitan, Soundtrack and Table No 21. While these films underlined his potential, he is yet to break into the big league.
