Pakistani actor Veena Malik’s TV Swayamvar never really took off, but that hasn’t stopped her from embarking on a hunt for a man. This time, she’s looking for a co-star for her upcoming film, The City That Never Sleeps.

Producer Satish Reddy explains, “We’re having an online audition over two months. Veena will choose one person to act opposite her. Hers will be the last word.” That’s not all, another actor, a singer and an item girl will also be selected in a similar manner.

“Hollywood actor Jeremy Williams will choose an actor opposite him. Singer Taz of Stereo Nation will select a singer for the film, while choreographer Longinus Fernandes will pick an item girl for one of the songs,” says Reddy. Aspirants for the acting, singing as well as dancing parts can apply online for a chance to win any of the contests.

Explaining the concept behind the contest, Reddy says, “There have been talent hunts in the past, but never before has an actor picked her co-star.”

While the contest to select the lead actor is titled Veena Ka Hero Kaun?, the hunt for a co-star for Williams is called Main Chunuga Apni Heroine. Taz will search for a new voice through the Kaun Hoga Bollywood Ki Nai Awaaz contest and Fernandes will pick his item girl through the Lakho Me Ek Hogi Meri Dancing Star contest.
