The first trailer of TV star Kapil Sharma’s second Bollywood film, Firangi was released Tuesday afternoon and he appears quite endearing in the video.

Directed by Rajiv Dhingra, Firangi also stars Ishita Dutta and Monica Gill in pivotal roles. The three-minute long video shows Kapil lying on a cot as he narrates a story to a small kid sitting beside him. The story, of course, is his own -- Kapil plays Monga -- in a film set during the British rule in India. Unlike everyone in his village, Monga believes the British are good people and mean no harm to the villagers. However, a turn of events prove him wrong and Monga turns against the foreign rulers. Will he prove his love for his own people or will he be branded as a traitor forever? Only the film will tell us.

Kapil Sharma, who made his Bollywood debut with Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karoon (2015), has been shooting for Firangi for more than six months now. He even took a break from his popular reality show, The Kapil Sharma Show, saying he wanted to concentrate on his film.

The last few months have been tough on the comedian with many of his show’s cast members leaving him after a mid-air spat with fellow comedian Sunil Grover and his show going off air after speculation that he forced many of India’s top stars to wait. The show finally went off air last month but is expected to return to television screens. Kapil has said it was due to his ill health.

Firangi is slated to hit theatres on November 24.
