Ajay Devgn steps into the shoes of Jeetendra as he romances actress Tamannaah in the first look poster of Sajid Nadiadwala's Himmatwala. The film is the adaptation of 1983 hit starring Jeetendra and Sridevi.
Sajid Khan, who's helming the project, says Himmatwala will do Rs 100 crore business in the first week of its release. "I can't say I am a great director but I am the greatest audience... since childhood I have done nothing other than watching films. Cinema is my life and I can never make a flop film. I make films for audience and not for myself," Sajid Khan had earlier told reporters.
"I will never let down the audience. I have proved that three times now I will do that again. My film Himmatwala will cross Rs. 100 crores in first week," he had claimed.
Before the release of his every film, Sajid tells the actors involved that the movie will be a blockbuster and it turns out to be. And even for Himmatwala, Sajid has told the same to lead actor Ajay Devgn.
When asked, Ajay said, "Yes he (Sajid) did say that and I like that attitude. It is a kind of confidence which you should have and he has that. Sajid is sure of what he is doing. So it gives you a push and after I heard the script I agreed with him and I am sure it will be a fabulous film."
Recently, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra made a comment saying all rubbish films make Rs 100 crore at box office. On this Sajid had said, "I don't know about numbers if the audience likes the film then it does well. Rubbish films are the ones which makes Rs 100 crore because the audience likes them and you can't rubbish the audience. The ultimate verdict is of the audience... the numbers are not important it is the feeling of the audience that is important."
