’s comeback film are planning to release the project’s first look at the festival next year.
This year, she made headlines for her fashionable appearances on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival. However, next year, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will probably be making news for a lot more, as she won’t be seen there only as the face of a brand she endorses.
The makers of the actor’s comeback Bollywood film are working on a “strict time-frame” to make sure that the first look of the project is ready in time for the festival next year. “Sanjay (Gupta, director) has already worked out a schedule. He will start shooting in January next year. So by the time Cannes 2015 starts, the first look — including the teaser and official poster — will be ready.
Since Aishwarya has been involved with Cannes for so many years, the makers know that releasing the first look around then will help them generate a lot of buzz,” says an insider.

If all goes well, this will be the second time Aishwarya will be seen promoting her film at Cannes. The last time she was there with a movie was in 2002, when Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas was being showcased there. Shah Rukh Khan and Bhansali had also made appearances at the time.
“Since the film is a remake of a big international hit and Aishwarya is also a global celebrity, the makers have some big plans chalked out for next year,” adds the insider.
Gupta will only start working on this film once he wraps up the action-thriller he is currently shooting. He is also yet to cast two leading men alongside Aishwarya. Despite repeated attempts, the film-maker couldn’t be reached for a comment.
