Highlight Story

Here's a sneak peek of Sanjay Dutt's look in upcoming action thriller Zila Ghaziabad. Sanjay Dutt is playing a policeman and the poster shows him in a uniform with aviators to complete the look.

Sanjay Dutt is seen in his full-grown moustache and has an angry look on his face which puts a light on his character.

The story is based on the gang war between two powerful rival groups of Gurjars. One led by Satbir Gurjar (played by Vivek Oberoi) and the other led by Mahender Fauji Bainsla, played by Arshad Warsi during the 1990s and the role of controversial police officer Prdritam Singh, played by (Sanjay Dutt), (based upon a series of real life incidents) that happened in the 90s in Ghaziabad. ON ZILA GHAZIABAD

Geeta Basra is fine being Ghaziabad Ki Rani not Munni or Sheila
It has been quite some time since she was last seen on the big screen. However, Geeta Basra was sure that whenever she would return in a film, it would be with a bang. This week, she has been seen again in 'lights, camera and action' mode with the item number 'Ghaziabad Ki Rani' in Zila Ghaziabad. However, contrary to popular perception, she decided not to get into the 'Munni' and 'Sheila' mode and instead wanted to carve a niche of her own.

"It's a full on 'dhinchaak' number that I have done for this film", says Geeta, who was earlier seen in films like The Train and Dil Diya Hai, both with Emraan Hashmi. "I was sure about one thing that even if I do just an item number in a film, instead of a full fledged role, it would have to be something special. When I heard this song, then I was convinced enough to do it. However, I also wanted to know that how would it be eventually choreographed. It couldn't have been run of the mill by any means."

Vivek Oberoi looks forward to Zila Ghaziabad, Krrish 2
After a no show in 2011, actor Vivek Oberoi is looking forward to a comeback in the new year with the release of his Zila Ghaziabad and Kismat, Love,Paisa, Dilli. The actor is also a part of Hrithik Roshan's sci-fi franchise Krrish 2, which is slated to release in 2013.

"I am really excited about Zila Ghaziabad. It is great to work with an actor like Sanjay Dutt in this film which has three phenomenal characters (including the one played by Arshad Warsi)", says Vivek who has already shot a major portion of the film.

"I am playing a role opposite Dutt once again after Shoot Out At Lokhandwala. Yet again, Dutt plays a cop while I am in the role of a gangster", added Vivek. FULL STORY

Learning Ghaziabadi is fun: Vivek Oberoi
Anand Kumar’s Zila Ghaziabad will see Vivek Oberoi mouth the local Ghaziabadi dialect with aplomb. The actor who essays the character of teacher-turned-gangster, Satbir Gujar, says, “I’ve been perfecting the ‘lehja’ (language) for over a month with the film’s writer, Vinay Sharma.”

Vivek adds, “I play Uttar Pradesh’s most educated gangster, who was also known as Masterji. So my character switches with ease from speaking in English, to clean Hindi and then Ghaziabadi lehja.” However, he denies that the dialogues will be profane, unlike the case with most films that switch to local dialects, saying, “There is enough colour in the language. The slang makes it interesting. The dialogues don’t need to be spiced up.” STORY INSIDE
