R Madhavan returns to the silver screen with Saala Khadoos, a film about a boxing coach that stars boxer-turned-actor Ritika Singh in the lead. While recent sports films have been on their mark (Mary Kom, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Chak De), Bollywood has often ruined the game in a bid to keep to the formula. Here, we take a look at five iconic moments from Bollywood films that completely ridiculed the sports involved.

1. Dhal Gaya Din


Of course, the legendary song sits at the top of our list. Have you ever tried dancing and playing badminton at the same time, and with such precision?

2. Rohit Shetty and his love for cars

Racing cars doesn’t necessarily involve cars that run and race. They simply have to topple and bounce around like toys.

3. Apne


Decades after Rocky Balboa inspired generations, Dharmendra and his clan made a famliy movie on boxing. Of course, our desi sanskaar made us focus on emotions rather than the bouts.

4. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Because, well, basketball is all about saree and romance. And, of course, Raj, is our king Khan.

5. Hum Apke Hain Koun

Forget cricket, look at the cute dog!
