For the first time: Rekha ditches makeup, looks her age

Does Rekha still look as much of a diva when the makeup is wiped off, kanjivarams are exchanged for something less glitzy and the heavy jewellery is gone? That is a question most Indians have discussed over the years.

Now, finally we can tell you the answer - it is yes and no.

To begin with, Rekha - like all other humans - is not ageless. When she stepped out of home to watch the screening of Alia Bhatt, Randeep Hooda-starrer Highway on Monday in Mumbai, the makeup was minimal and the outfit was an off-white kurta-churidar. And she was looking her age.

Rekha in her different avatars.

Even though

Rekha

looked graceful and beautiful in the simple avatar, the signs of ageing were there, normally hidden under carefully applied makeup. Looking a little tired as well, she studiously avoided the cameras. The shuttebugs, on the other hand, could not stop clicking her.

Our verdict:

Rekha

looks charming with the heavy makeup or without it. Tell us what you think.
