While she doesn’t accept or refute rumours about dating French actor-director Franck Gastambide, actor Richa Chadha says that he’s a nice person. “I don’t know what to say. We are in India, so I can’t even say that we are just good friends. But he is a lovely person and we are in different continents. That is all that I can say,” she says.
The actor met Gastambide a few months ago during her visit to Paris for her film’s promotion. While many actors often say that they don’t have time for love, Richa thinks it all depends on the relationship that one is trying to make time for. “It is tough to find time in our schedule, but if it’s an important relationship, you make the time. It also depends on your inclination and interest ... If you are keen to have that person in your life, then you will find time,” she says.
Talking about her latest film, Richa says that while she was expecting the critical acclaim, she didn’t expect the film to do well commercially. “I knew the film would be critically appreciated, but I did not expect it to be a box office success,” she says, adding, “There are people who have told me that this is my best performance. Usually, people don’t move beyond my role in Gangs of Wasseypur and Bholi Punjaban (Fukrey)."
Richa is convinced that her film will make way for other small films as well. “I think the process of small films getting accepted by the audience had already started. But with this film doing well, it will add to this process,” Richa says.
Meanwhile, the actor wants to take some time off films. “I want to take a break soon. I’m just waiting for my film’s promotions to finish because it is not fair to leave in between,” she says.
