Be it for the role of Shah Rukh Khan’s best buddy Pappu Master in Om Shanti Om, the character of the deaf and mute boy Iqbal in Nagesh Kukunoor’s film of the same name or the funny man in Golmaal Returns, actor Shreyas Talpade has always won the audience’s hearts with his power-packed acting. The 35-year-old, who will soon be seen playing a peacemaker between two estranged friends on UTV Stars’ Superstar Santa, is currently excited about his upcoming releases that includes Sajid Khan’s Housefull 2 and Shirish Kunder’s Joker. We catch him for a chitchat.
On playing Santa
It was a damn cool experience that left me with a very positive feeling. It also felt great to help resolve the issues between two friends, Faisal and Sumit who had not been in touch for long
On bollywood pals
The friendships in Bollywood are not serious… they are just acquaintances. It is difficult to have close friends from the industry because there is always a feeling of competition
and rivalry somewhere
On Housefull 2
Housefull 2 is a laughter riot. It’ll be bigger and better than Housefull. I play a Sindhi character in the film and had to really work on the language. It’s more than saying saii and chadiya
On his role in Joker
Joker is an adventure drama and I’m very excited about my role. It has been one of my most challenging roles, but at this moment, I can’t reveal much about it
On returning to TV
I’ve been a judge at comedy shows and if something interesting comes my way, I’ll will surely take it up. Having said that, reality shows in not my cup of tea as I am a very private person.
