Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is soon set to make her acting comeback with Sanjay Gupta’s Jazbaa. But what is interesting is that, apart from Aishwarya, a number of other actors are also going to return to films after a considerable gap this year.
So, while Imran Khan will be seen opposite Kangana Ranaut in Katti Batti later this year, after having starred in Punit Malhotra’s Gori Tere Pyaar Mein (2013), Asin, who last starred in Khiladi 786 (2012), will now share screen space with Abhishek Bachchan in All Is Well.
Imran maintains that he doesn’t "regret the time away" from films. "I am glad that I got this break. In the last one-and-a-half years, I was with my family, as my wife was pregnant, and then our baby was born. There is nothing that would make me give up being with my family," he said at his new film’s trailer launch, a few weeks ago.

Also, on the comeback trail are Shriya Saran and Amy Jackson. While Shriya, after last acting in Gali Gali Mein Chor Hai (2012), will star opposite Ajay Devgn in Drishyam, Amy is Akshay Kumar’s heroine in Singh Is Bling. She made her Bollywood debut with Ekk Deewana Tha (2012).

"After my Hindi debut, I needed to be choosy about my next projects, and pick something that will not only be a meaty role, but will also be part of a good script," says Amy, who couldn’t take up Salman Khan’s Kick last year due to her commitment to director Shankar for the Tamil film, I.
However, trade experts aren’t so kicked about all these comebacks. Exhibitor-distributor Akshaye Rathi says, "Of course, Aishwarya’s comeback will be huge, since she is an extremely popular star, but the same can’t be said about everyone else. It’s a different ball game for different people."
