It was a quirky Tuesday evening at Delhi University’s Atma Ram Sanatan Dharm College (ARSD), where the crew of the upcoming film, Fukrey, came to launch the music of the film. While producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani entered the college on bicycles, the four protagonists, Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal and Varun Sharma made a grand entry on horsebacks.
The female leads including Richa Chadha, Priya Anand and Vishakha Singh preferred to walk. All the three entries were accompanied by shaadi wale bands. Film director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba said the reason behind launching the music in a college was to promote the film among the youuth. “I spent a lot of time doing fukrapanti.
The word Fukrey is a very North Indian word and since I am in Delhi, I am sure a lot of people can identify themselves with it,” he said. Manjot Singh, one of the lead actors, took the event as an opportunity to express his love for East Delhi. “I am from Preet Vihar. The fukras from East Delhi Rock,” he said.
