Taking a cue from Katrina Kaif’s Chikni Chameli and Malaika Arora Khan’s Munni Badnaam, Brazilian actor Giselli Monteiro is doing an item number in Sandeep Kapur’s Pranam Walekum.
The actor who debuted in Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal (2009), and later starred in Always Kabhi Kabhi, last year, is very excited about the number, Nautanki Queen Hoon India Se Aayee Hoon.
“She (Giselli) wants to outdo all the dance numbers done so far with her energetic and sexy moves. The actor was on a two month holiday in Brazil and plunged into rehearsals for the song as soon as she returned,” says a source close to the film.
Kapur reveals that Giselli is playing a nautankiwali in the film. “To give her best, she rehearsed almost 18 hours a day for 10 days. She is one dedicated girl. Although she dances well but to do a nautanki item number her moves have to be more earthy and indianised,” says Kapur, adding, “She put her heart and soul into the dance. She wants to outshine all the item numbers done till date.”
