Looks like Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor have found the perfect launchpad into "offbeat" films now. Just days ahead of the launch of the first trailer of Homi Adajania's Konkani-English short film, Finding Fanny, both have revealed their looks on social media. Both of them have donned the Konkani/Goan look for the film.
In an earlier interview, Deepika had said, "I don’t like using the word offbeat, but it’s different from whatever I’ve done before in my career. Homi has wanted to make this film for a long time, and I’m happy he’s finally put it together.”
In another interview, Arjun said, "My next Finding Fanny Fernandes is also different and I believe that directors can find things in you that you don't even know exist. I didn't know I can play a small-town rowdy, but I did in Ishaqzaade. It's upto the director eventually, what he sees in me."
The film is produced by Saif Ali Khan’s Illuminati Films. Adijania has made the critically acclaimed non-mainstream English film Being Cyrus in 2006.
