Sonam Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana are all set to come together in Yash Raj Films’ yet-untitled film. The latest news is that veteran actor Rishi Kapoor (who last played a flamboyant, gay school principal in Student Of The Year) is now on board, and will be playing Sonam’s dad.

It seems it was scriptwriter Habib Faisal’s idea to approach Rishi for the role. “When Habib directed Do Dooni Chaar (2010), he was sure of casting Rishi. Now, he’s the writer of YRF’s next, and he insisted on having Rishi in this film as well,” a source says.

To be directed by Nupur Asthana (she directed Mujhse Fraandship Karoge; 2011), the film will apparently be a comedy set in Delhi. “This is the first time that Sonam and Ayushmann will be seen together. It is also the first time both the actors have been signed on by YRF. The film pits the importance of love versus money in a relationship,” the source reveals.

Ayushmann will play the role of Mohit Chadda, who is in love with Mayera Sehgal (Sonam). Against their romantic notion of love, stands Mayera’s practical, bureaucrat father VK Sehgal (Rishi Kapoor), who disagrees with the young couple’s opinion.
