Haider: Watch Shahid, Shraddha in Bismil

Sampooran Singh Kalra aka Gulzar is creating magical lyrics even at the age of 78. The latest proof of his sheer genius is the brand new song Bismil from director Vishal Bhardwaj's forthcoming film Haider.

Bismil successfully forms an idea about the basic premise of Haider, which is set in Kashmir. Gulzar has incorporated typical Urdu words which are in vogue in Kashmir, and Shahid Kapoor seems completely in sync with the song's rhythm.

Haider is Vishal Bhardwaj's third film in his Shakespeare trilogy after Maqbool (2003) and Omkara (2006).

The film also features Shraddha Kapoor, Kay Kay Menon and Tabu in pivotal roles. Haider is co-written by Kashmiri journalist Basharat Peer, and is an adaptation of William Shakespeare's Hamlet.

The film is set to hit the screens on October 2.
