Actor Harshvardhan Kapoor, son of actor Anil Kapoor might not have made a mark at the box-office with his debut Mirzya (2016), but his upcoming film has got everyone excited. If all goes well, he will be starring in the biopic of shooting champion Abhinav Bindra, who won the Gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Anil will portray the role of his father on screen.
Reports suggest that earlier Junglee Pictures was going to produce the film, but it backed out. Consequently Anil stepped in and took over the production with Prerna Arora’s Kriarj Entertainment. At the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards held in June, Anil had hinted at the development, saying, “It’s too early to speak about the Abhinav Bindra film. Once everything is finalised, I’ll talk about it. But talks are on. If God wishes, we (Harshvardhan and me) will do a film together and it could be this one. I am very excited to work with him, but it is too early to speak about it.”
Even Prerna had said, “It’s a great opportunity to work on a subject that has potential to inspire millions. Harsh is perfect for the part, and will do justice to it. When we watched Mirzya , his potential was evident. He is hardworking and passionate. We believe in the project even more since we have the father-son duo on board.”
