Here's why Kangana Ranaut didn't talk to her mom for months

She is one of the ruling queens in Bollywood. Her dedication, performance and frank nature has got her a huge fan following. No wonder she is totally engrossed in her work; so much that she doesn't even speak her to mom for months!



Speaking at a promotional event for her upcoming film opposite Imran Khan (Katti Batti), Kangana Ranaut said, "I prepared for the character of Datto (Tanu Weds Manu Returns) for six months and I didn't even talk to my mother."

"Whenever I say something, it is perceived as something else. So, it is amazing to see how I say something which has a completely different context and the way it is perceived is so different. But then I don't know how to be like any other way. I can only speak my mind and cannot speak someone else's mind," Kangana said.

The 28-year-old actor who hails from Himachal Pradesh, added, "I get annoyed but that doesn't last long... sometimes your nice, little statement is taken as a very rude and shocking headline. In my heart, I'm just that mountain girl, who speaks her heart and doesn't have any agenda and motive."



Directed by Nikhil Advani, the comedy thriller Katti Batti, which stars Imran as Maddy and Kangana as Payal, will hit screens on September 18.



After Katti Batti, the Queen star will be next seen in Rangoon, Rani Lakshmibai and Simran.
