Varun Dhawan, who recently signed Rohit Shetty’s next Dilwale, wants to focus solely on the big-ticket project. We’ve learnt that in order to do so, he has been turning down non-film offers, including some lucrative ones.
An insider says, "Varun doesn’t want to get distracted by any other commitment, especially since it’s still early days in this film’s shooting schedule. He has turned down a couple of big endorsement deals as well as an offer to perform at a wedding, for which he was offered a huge sum."
Since Rohit’s film top-lines Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, besides a host of ensemble actors, the insider says Varun doesn’t want to "leave anything to chance" as far as his performance in the film is concerned. In fact, ever since he started shooting (a few days back), the actor has cut down on his social commitments as well.
"Varun isn’t going out much these days. It’s an important film for him, and since the shoot has just kicked off, he is getting the hang of the character and doesn’t want to lose focus," adds the insider.
Despite repeated attempts, Varun couldn’t be reached for a comment.
