Actor Manoj Bajpayee says he is not interested in making a career in Hollywood.

Actor Manoj Bajpayee will soon be seen in a film in an Indo-American project alongside Hollywood actor Demi Moore, but unlike his contemporaries he does not plan to jump on to the Hollywood bandwagon anytime soon.

“I am looking at projects as and when they come. Hollywood has never been a part of my plan or my life. Bollywood is where I want to be and this is what I am doing right now. If something interesting from any part of the world comes, then I will take it up,” says Bajpayee.

The actor, who was born in Belwa, a small village in Narkatiaganj, Bihar, adds, “I am a child who has grown up in a village. For me reaching Delhi was impossible. I could not think of anything beyond Delhi or Mumbai.”

The Indo-American project also stars actors Frieda Pinto and Richa Chadha. Even though he does not share any scene with Moore, does he feel that with this project his global audience will increase? “My films have been reaching global audiences - be it Pinjar or Gangs of Wasseypur or Aligarh. They have been noticed by people from all across the globe,” he says.

Talking about his negative role in the film, the actor says that it was the character’s darkness that appealed to him. “He is cold blooded and does not leave anything grey in his life. That was difficult as well as exciting for me,” says Bajpayee.
