After reports that intimate scenes featuring Sunny Leone might earn Jackpot an adult certificate, writer-director Kaizad Gustad’s film is now facing some more objection from the censor board.

The makers have been asked to remove the song, ‘Eggjactly’.

'Eggjactly’ is a rap song composed, written and sung by Jaaved Jaaferi, and is about corruption. It touches upon everything from the Commonwealth scam to the Bofors and Lokpal issues, and incidents in Bhagalpur, Bhopal, Godhra, Ayodhya and Mumbai.

The makers admit, ruefully, that the censor board, unfortunately, did not see the humour in the song. Muting words was not an option, since the entire song would need to be muted out, thanks to the incisive lyrics. Producer-actor Sachiin Joshi says, "I love my country and this is my attempt to say what I feel. Like every Indian, I want to be truly independent."

Kaizad adds, "The song is a satire. The censors should have a sense of humour."

However, Sachiin is optimistic when he adds, "The Censor Board has an issue with the lyrics, which they found slightly derogatory. They have asked us to ban the song on television. There is still a chance to include it in the film. If ‘DK Bose’ (Delhi Belly; 2011) can be passed, why not ‘Eggjactly’?"

Members of the censor board remained unavailable for comment despite repeated attempts to reach them.

The song is composed by Jaaferi and Rahul Bhatt, with lyrics by Jaaferi and Prashant Ingole. Jackpot is a fast-paced thriller, set in the world of casino boats and gambling in Goa, starring Naseeruddin Shah, Sunny Leone and Sachiin Joshi, and produced by Viiking Entertainment and Media. The film will release on December 13.
