Earlier this month, she wrapped up shooting for Sabbir Khan’s next in Kerala, and a few days later, an excited Shraddha Kapoor took off to Shillong to kickstart the shoot of the sequel to Rock On (2008). But the actor had to return to Mumbai abruptly due to an eye infection.
Apparently, while in the capital city of Meghalaya, Shraddha developed an eye infection which kept getting worse. “When the film team took her to a local eye doctor in Shillong, it was found out that there was a scratch in the cornea of her eye, and that’s why she was feeling uncomfortable all along,” adds the insider.

As the pain started increasing, the producer of the film (Ritesh Sidhwani) asked her to fly back to Mumbai and get it checked properly and take some rest as well. “In fact, as soon as Shraddha landed at Mumbai airport, she didn’t go home. Instead, she headed straight to her eye doctor. She is doing better now and is expected to resume shoot in a few days,” adds the insider.
Shraddha confirms, “Yes, I developed a sudden redness and itching in my eye which later got extremely painful. Ritesh (Sidhwani) didn’t want me to take a risk and asked me to travel back (to Mumbai). I will join the team in a few days.”
