Taking forward the star-studded musical events of this season, Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol will sing the ‘Senorita…’ track ‘live’ to launch the music of their forthcoming film, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. The song that was recorded by the trio and picturised in the Spanish town of Alajar, is already being promoted on air. But it was only recently decided to get the actors to sing it ‘live’ at a suburban mall on June 11.
Last year, John Abraham had crooned a karaoke version of the title song to launch the soundtrack of Abbas Tyrewalla’s Jhootha Hi Sahi. This time around, Hrithik, Farhan and Abhay will be crooning the actual song track from the album. The composer trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy will be present to ensure that the heroes are in perfect sync.
Abhay Deol, who has sung for the first time, unlike his co-actors Hrithik and Farhan, who have done playback for Kites and Rock On!! respectively, recalls being told not to worry as technology would ensure his voice sounded good. “I didn’t go through any serious rehearsals. I was just given the lyrics and I started singing,” he reminisces, adding that later the song underwent some technical modifications post recording to make it perfect.
Hrithik is also going to sing ‘live’ for the first time but Farhan has performed earlier. Still, all three are rehearsing for their act. Confirming the weekend performance, producer Ritesh Sidhwani says, “Yes, we’re planning an innovative event this Saturday.”
