Over the last few days, reports have claimed that Hrithik Roshan has been approached for the lead role in the next instalment of the popular Hollywood dance franchise, Step Up. However, a friend close to the actor insists that the news is untrue.
"At the moment, he is only doing Ashutosh Gowariker’s next, which is a period film. Once Bang Bang releases, he plans to start doing the research for Ashutosh’s project," says the friend, adding that Hrithik feels his name is probably being attached to this film for publicity.
"He isn’t surprised either, because this isn’t the first time this has happened. Every time a dance-based film makes news, Hrithik’s name invariably crops up," adds the insider.
Apparently, Hrithik is in no hurry to sign a new film. When contacted, the actor says, :"I’m looking to do something edgy and different. I feel I’m more at ease with taking risks right now. Apart from Ashutosh’s film (Mohenjo Daro), I haven’t signed anything else."
Tradition continues at Sussanne’s new home (Jigar Shah reports)
While they had been celebrating Ganeshotsav together for the last 14 years, Hrithik Roshan and his estranged wife Sussanne Khan have decided to continue with the tradition this time too, albeit, separately.
Since their separation, Sussanne has been residing at a new address. To bring in the festivities, she has brought an idol of the elephant god to her new abode.
"It was her kids who wanted to celebrate the festival in their new house. Sussanne also believes in lord Ganesha and was more than happy to bring the idol home," says a source close to her.
