Earlier this year, when 17-year-old Kushal Paul won a singing-based talent hunt, the young singer had revealed that he is a huge fan of Hrithik Roshan. “As a playback singer, I would really like to sing for Hrithik. He is my favourite,” Kushal had said.
Apparently, when Hrithik got to know about this, he asked his team to fix up a meeting with the singer. “Hrithik invited Kushal to the sets of his next film Kaabil. He had a long conversation with him in his vanity van in between shots,” says an insider.
Hrithik also congratulated Kushal on his victory. “He, too, comes from a musical family. While his grandfather, Roshanlal Nagrath, who was better known by his first name Roshan, was a well-known music composer, his uncle, Rajesh Roshan, is also a music director,” adds the insider.
Hrithik also told Kushal that he, too, is “25% Bengali”, since his grandmum, was a Bengali. “Kushal was overwhelmed to meet Hrithik. He made him hear his songs that he sang during the competition,” says the insider.
Kushal says, “Hrithik is a talented and easy-going person. I have watched all his films. My favourite one is Koi... Mil Gaya (2003).”
Hrithik said, “Music runs in my family too. I have a lot of respect for people who sing and are musically inclined. I wish Kushal luck for his future. It was lovely to meet him.”
