Hrithik Roshan joins hands with Delhi Police for a campaign against drunk driving

Hrithik Roshan has agreed to join hands with the Delhi Police to help them curb the instances of drunken driving in the capital, by spreading awareness about the subject.

A source close to the actor reveals that Hrithik was approached by the police officials regarding this campaign last week. “This is part of their (Delhi police) initiative on road safety, and Hrithik was more than happy to endorse the idea,” says the source, adding, “Educating people about the ills of driving under influence is their primary concern, but spreading awareness about other means of road safety is also part of their agenda.”

According to the insider, Hrithik and the team of his upcoming film, Bang Bang, received extensive support from the Delhi Police during the shooting schedule of their film in the city. “The team is grateful to the force for making the shoot hassle-free. It was a big team, so the security of every member was a big concern. But they were taken care of,” adds the source.

Though, currently, the actor is busy promoting the film, which is set to release soon, he’ll be flying to Delhi this week to make this association with the Delhi Police official.

We tried contacting Hrithik, but he remained unavailable for a comment. The spokesperson of the film, however, confirmed the development.
