Gangs of Wasseypur 2 has been voted more gripping than Part 1. The storyline of GOW 2 surges forth much faster as the new generation of gangsters, gun for each other with greater viciousness.

They were last seen together in Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs Of Wasseypur (GOW; 2012).

Now, it looks like Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Huma Qureshi are set to work together again in Sriram Raghavan’s untitled next starring Varun Dhawan in the lead.

Interestingly, the action-thriller will be produced by Saif Ali Khan’s production company.

"The film will have three female leads. Huma has already been finalised for one of the roles. As for Nawaz, all the details are being discussed before he signs on the dotted line. But one thing is for sure, Nawaz is very keen to do the film because the script has impressed him a lot," says an insider close to the project.

After GOW, the two actors haven’t teamed up for any other film.

When contacted, Nawaz says, "Yes, I am in discussions for Sriram’s film. But, it’s too early to talk about it. However, I must say that Sriram’s script is fantastic. Plus, he is also one of my favourite directors from the current lot, so I would love to work with him. Let’s see how things go. I am very optimistic."

The film will go on the floors by April once Varun finishes shooting Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania alongside Alia Bhatt.

"Sriram also needs to cast a senior female actor opposite Varun, as per the demand of the script. That will also be finalised in the coming weeks. It’s going to be a completely different experience for all the actors including Varun," adds the insider.

The yet-untitled venture will release early next year.
