Dhanush who makes his big Bollywood debut in Raanjhanaa, found shooting for the film extremely challenging. Apart from getting used to the way the Hindi film industry works, the actor also had to get a grip of the language, which until he took up the film, was completely alien to him.
However, Dhanush credits director Aanand L Rai and co-star Sonam Kapoor, his co-star in the film for the smooth transition, as he took his initial steps into Bollywood .
Says Dhanush, “I’m closest to Sonam in the industry. She went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and helped me with my Hindi on the sets. She is very straightforward and always said things as they were, which is something I admire.”
The film also stars Abhay Deol.
