I t’s a known fact that I Am Kalam’s child actor, Harsh Mayar was rejected for a role in Chillar Party. And he was disappointed because he wanted to meet Salman Khan, the co-producer of the film. But soon, the young boy was selected to play the lead role in I Am Kalam, because of which he got to meet Amitabh Bachchan.

Smile Foundation, the agency that has produced the film, had sent a letter to Bachchan with details about their movement aimed at educating the underprivileged. The superstar was touched by the foundation’s intent and graciously agreed to meet Harsh.

But when the two actualy met, the normally talkative boy was stupefied by the aura of the senior actor. He was rendered speechless when the superstar presented him with two of his biographies. “Harsh (is) a confident alert and most vocal little fellow. (He) has won the National Award this year as the best child artist and now has travelled to Mumbai from Delhi to meet me and then go back. (I) simply admire these qualities of amateurs finding their way into the industry and so savvy with all the necessary and required equipment for film,” wrote Big B on his blog.

Meanwhile, the young actor feels he is living a dream. “Never have I ever dreamt that I would be meeting the biggest icon of the industry,” says Harsh, who has not yet given up hopes of meeting Salman.
