I am not a romantic person: Amyra Dastur

Though she plays an Indian Juliet in her latest film, Issaq, actor Amyra Dastur admits she is unromantic in real life

She is just a film old but actor Amyra Dastur has her Bollywood plans in place. The 20-year-old Parsi girl, who was recently seen in Issaq along with actor Prateik Babbar says, “I want to do commercial films as well as off-beat movies. Since I neither have a godfather, nor a backup plan, I hope that I get to do great work and make everyone proud of me. “

Though she starred in an intense romantic film, but Amyra is a self confessed non-romantic. She says, “I am not at all a romantic person, I hate flowers and candles... rather find it irritating. For me a great date will be going on jet skiing or other adventure sport.”

The Parsi girl adds, “I am single at the moment and not even looking for a serious relationship. But I won’t mind being with someone to just have fun.” Dastur, who is currently studying B.Com in a Mumbai’s HR College, reveals that she always wanted to be an actor.

“I started modelling at the age of 16 and always aspired to be an actor. But my family only agreed to it on the condition that I would not let my studies suffer because of my work,” she says.

Lastly, talking about her future plans Amyra, who wants to work with film maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali says, “There are lot of offers coming my way, I am reading scripts and you will soon hear about them. I would love to act with young actors such as Arjun Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor.”
