Life has come a long way for model-turned-actor Parvin Dabas, who is waiting for the release of his first directorial venture, Sahi Dhandhe Galat Bande.

“To be honest, I had the story of the film in mind for a while, so I started working on it around two years ago. When I started working on it, I had no plans to direct it, but as the narrative progressed, I thought I would be the best choice because I know the characters more than anyone,” says the actor, who has been part of films such as Khosla Ka Ghosla and My Name Is Khan.

The film revolves around a gang of four friends who are given a job which will give them enough money, but at the cost of their conscience. “I play Rajbir, a complicated guy who talks less and is the defacto leader of the group.”

On the personal front, the 37-year-old is enjoying playing papa to his 3-month-old son. He says, “I am enjoying this phase, and try and spend whatever time I get with my son. At times, I wish I could do more for our baby.”

Ask him if he has plans to come on television and he says, “Not right now. If something interesting comes up, then I might. I have been offered lots of reality shows but I am not interested. I am a very private person and not an ideal reality show contestant. I am an introvert and might be mistaken for arrogance and attitude. And, he is looking forward to a break before starting anything new. “I have said no to around six films in the last six months, as my entire focus was on this film. I want to take a break for a month or two after the film opens.”
