Shah Rukh Khan may be known as the baap of the business-minded in Bollywood, but the 45-year-old actor says there’s “nothing material” about asking for a price for anything.
“I don’t come free. That’s the reason why I’m cheap,” says the 45-year-old, adding, “You can make me do an item number, make me dance at a wedding or make me do anything (by paying a price).”
The actor, who was in town on Tuesday to launch management guru Arindam Chaudhuri and his wife Rajita’s new marketing book, Thorns To Competition, says marketing is all that matters. “Everything should be sold. I’m a big believer in selling. I can sell anything. I can even sell dreams.”
After roping in international rapper Akon for a song in his forthcoming superhero flick Ra.One, the actor, who says he’s been making “the biggest films this country makes,” is eyeing Lady Gaga. “I’ve been chatting up with Lady Gaga since a few days, wanting to do a song with her (for Ra.One).”
